HOME VISITING IN SAGINAW COUNTY.

overview

Healthy Families America (HFA) is a national, evidence-based home visiting program servicing pregnant and parenting families.  HFA is a  preventative service known to influence families in the following areas:
​
  • Reduce child maltreatment
  • Improve parent-child interactions and children’s social-emotional well-being
  • Increase school readiness
  • Promote child physical health and development
  • Promote positive parenting
  • Promote family self-sufficiency
  • Increase access to primary care medical services and community services and Decrease child injuries and emergency  department use

eligibility

  • Must reside in the City of Saginaw, Oakley, Merrill or Brant
  • Available to pregnant women and families with babies under three months of age
  • Our goal is to enroll families prenatally or within three months of birth, and service them until the child is three years of age and transfers to a high quality preschool program.
