Newest Winner of the Family Friendly Business Spotlight!

 

We recognize Saginaw County businesses that support and encourage children and families through their business practices. Babies “R” Us was chosen for this very reason.

Some of the comments made by voters on behalf of Babies “R” Us were:

“The store offers a nice place for moms to breast feed their babies. Bathrooms are family friendly. The staff are kind and helpful. Also, in the past (they may still do), they have offered safety days and other events that benefit families with young children.”

“Great bathrooms, mother’s room for changing/nursing, seminars for parents, vendors on weekends with additional items aside from the usual baby gear, safety fairs with car seat checks. VERY informed staff.”

We are excited to offer this award to Babies “R” Us and hope you can find time to visit their store and congratulate the staff for their strong support of young children and families!

VOTE for your favorite "Family-Friendly Business"

The Saginaw County Great Start Collaborative would like to recognize businesses within Saginaw County that are “family friendly”. A family friendly business is one that supports and encourages children and families through its business practices. 

An example of this could be a restaurant that welcomes children and families by offering kids eat free promotions, a children’s menu with healthy selections and family friendly table activities.   

One Saginaw County business will be selected each month. The winning business will receive a letter explaining the award and why they were chosen, and a certificate of recognition they can display at their business. The winning business will also be featured on the Great Start Collaborative website. Any business in Saginaw County can be nominated– AND, anyone can nominate!

We have serveral ways to submit your nomination:

You can can submit your name, contact information and business you are nominating with a 50-100 word description of why you think they should be the family friendly business of the month!
